Bought as a gift and I am sure they will like it, but I was very upset to find it had been shipped from China so will not be buying again

I thought I was getting a kit to learn stitches. I got a blank piece of fabric and instructions on how to transfer the image (I did get the thread)

This was amazing and I learned so much! Turned out beautiful!

This is the kit that started it all for me! I had been wanting to learn embroidery as a way to relax and force myself to slow down in my hectic life. And also because my late Mom used to embroider and sew and I never bothered to learn from her while I had the chance. So I just did some general Google searches and bought a “beginner” kit on Amazon because it was cheap. I tried, but with no instructions, terrible supplies and no help, I failed miserably and felt like I just wasn’t ever going to be able to do this. Enter Clever Poppy!! I chose this kit because it seemed like a good place to start and it was so pretty! I put the other kit aside and decided to give this a chance and see what happened. I am SO glad I did! Julie’s videos were exactly what I needed to get a good, solid foundation in embroidery. I learned all the things I didn’t even know I didn’t know when I was trying to do the other kit. I saw how high quality supplies make a world of difference! And I quickly developed an unbounding JOY for embroidery and especially for Clever Poppy! What a magical company this is!! Julie is the BEST teacher! She could get a rock to embroider a beautiful pattern, I’m sure! Excellent products, excellent customer service, excellent supplies, excellent value, excellent designs and most importantly excellent teaching! I’ve gone on to create several more kits, I’ve joined the Makers Academy and I’m gifting kits to several friends and family this Christmas. I’ve learned a new skill, I’ve gotten the calm, peace and joy back into my life, I’ve reclaimed my down time and reconnected with memories of my Mom, and I’ve made some beautiful art!
